Robertsfors Model

The theoretical model is based on The Natural Step Framework's Compass model and System Conditions, Manfred Max-Neef's (Chilean economist) concept of Basic Needs, and the experiences of past generations of Swedish eco-municipalities.

The five linchpins of the Sustainable Robertsfors theoretical process include the following:

Knowledge & Deep Understanding
Comprehensive Integration
Democracy & Participation
Partnerships/Networks
Process Leadership

These five parts of the Robertsfors process model have complemented each other and are equally important for success. They must happen concurrently and comprehensively, and it is through the process leader that this is ensured.
